Project Tango/Cellspace Milonga
Project Tango has run Cellspace Milonga in SF since July 2003. Though the original venue, a co-op arts warehouse called Cellspace, is no more, the Milonga's namesake was kept as Project Tango continues to operate in the alternative arts community at its current venue, SOMArts Cultural Center. Cellspace Milonga is a progressive community endeavor, offering a 50/50 DJ mix of classic tango and electronic music. Cellspace LIVE Last Wednesdays in SF and Cellspace EAST 2nd Fridays in Emeryville is produced by nonprofit Project Tango. PT's DJs, Teachers and Volunteers offer delicious snacks, tango event info table, ticketing greeters and a luminously decorated alternative atmosphere with dancefloor seating. Cellspace LIVE (SF) provides both Beginner and Advanced DropIn classes prior to the Milonga (dance party). Cellspace EAST (Emeryville) provides a Beginner Class and Low-Key Casual vibe. Join us at inclusive events that welcome all styles and visiting dancers and teachers from around the world. Volunteers get free admission to both Cellspace Class and Milonga.
